U.S. self-driving technology company, Aurora Innovation (NASDAQ: AUR), is gearing up for the commercial launch of its self-driving Aurora Driver platform in the U.S. by the end of 2024. Aurora Driver is a platform that integrates a range of self-driving hardware, software, and data services to customize and facilitate vehicle adaptation and interoperability. With the launch of Aurora Driver, the autonomous vehicle technology company’s initial focus is on introducing its self-driving truck business.
Based on Visible Alpha consensus, with an average of 13 trucks in 2024, Aurora is projected to generate $1.4 million in trucking revenue. In its first full year of operations in 2025, the company is expected to generate $20 million in trucking revenue, operating an average of 83 trucks. By 2027, analysts expect Aurora’s average number of trucks to surge to 2,415, generating $513 million in total trucking revenue. The company is scheduled to report its first-quarter 2024 results on Wednesday, May 8.
